Recently, Ren Shike, vice president, professor-level engineer and senior anti-corrosion expert of PetroChina Lanzhou Petrochemical Co., Ltd., visited Candor to conduct research and exchange on CTS technology, a new anti-corrosion technology for petrochemical equipment. Chen Chao, the chairman of Candor, presided over the reception, and Xiao Jianming, vice president and chief scientist, and other relevant technical personnel participated in the research and exchange activities.
At the exchange meeting, President Ren briefly introduced the achievements of Lanzhou Petrochemical Research Institute in the corrosion prevention of PetroChina system. He said that under the background of the serious deterioration of crude oil and the increasing demand for carbon reduction and efficiency, Lanzhou Petrochemical Research Institute, as an authoritative anti-corrosion research organization of PetroChina, has been paying attention to the new technologies trends in the industry and will strive to promote the progress of corrosion protection technology in the industry. This exchange acclivities was also based on this goal, and aimed to have a more detailed understanding of CTS technology.
The chief scientist of Candor reported the mechanism of CTS technology, the company's original stainless steel interface function enhancement technology, and the application cases of CTS materials in many refineries such as PetroChina, Sinopec, CNOOC, and ExxonMobil (Singapore). President Ren inquired in detail about the application effect of CTS technology in different cases and different environments, especially the use effect and details of CTS technology in some complex environments, expecting to know more detailed parameters after using CTS materials in complex environments such as reflux pumps. The two sides also conducted technical exchanges on such destructive and difficult problems as corrosion at the top of the tower, anti-coking of high-viscosity oil, and corrosion under the insulation layer. President Ren praised the superior performance of CTS materials in equipment anti-corrosion, and expressed the intention to continue in-depth communication on the use of CTS technology to promote equipment anti-corrosion, and work together to drive the progress of anti-corrosion technology in the petrochemical industry.
